Proposed PHIT Act Legislation Aims to Allow Pre-Tax Dollars for Fitness

To encourage individuals and families to focus on illness prevention, not just treatment, legislators introduced The Personal Health Investment Today (PHIT) Act. The PHIT Act, first introduced in March 2015, seeks to allow medical account tax deductions to be applied to associated costs of staying active, such as sports league fees, gym memberships, and fitness equipment.
