How Cities are Improving Low-Income Access to Parks

For many Americans, urban outdoor recreation spaces are limited and often require a drive. As a result, it's often hardest for those living in low-income neighborhoods to access parks. To determine if cities are adequately serving their low-income communities and to spark interest in investing in outdoor spaces, The Trust for Public Land's (TPL) ParkScore looks at spending, acreage, and household access. Following the most recent rankings, TPL recently shared five cities which stood out for reaching low-income neighborhoods.
